If your Joomla article has got the URL http://www.myjoomlasite.com/joomlaID-joomlaarticle.html and the same article in WordPress has got the URL http://www.mywordpressite.com/wordpressarticle, the plugin will redirect http://www.mywordpressite.com/joomlaID-joomlaarticle.html to http://www.mywordpressite.com/wordpressarticle
Once the WordPress site is live on http://www.myjoomlasite.com in replacement of Joomla, it will redirect http://www.myjoomlasite.com/joomlaID-joomlaarticle.html to http://www.myjoomlasite.com/wordpressarticle
The plugin must remain active to handle the redirects.
